Rose Namajunas is one of the female athletes with the highest success in the UFC. She started her career as an amateur fighter, competing in various regional competitions before signing with Invicta Fighting Championships and later signing up with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Her success in and out of the Octagon has helped make her an international brand after she became a member of the UFC. Namajunas is born the 29th of June 1993 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to a Lithuanian Immigrant family. Rose participated in basketball and kickboxing throughout her growing into a young woman. Invicta Fighting Championships provided her with her professional debut at 18 when she submitted two of her opponents. Dana White took notice of this, and she was admitted to the UFC's AAA division in December 2014 when Rose was just 22 years old. Her career has had both lows and highs but she's always able to come out of the fight in the top position. Rose was a fighter against Carla Esparza in April 2015 for the Women's Strawweight Championship. Rose won the bout through a technical knockout, which occurred within three minutes of the first round. This was the first ever time a woman competed in a title fight with any major promotion worldwide. Namajunas kept winning more victories, including two victories against Joanna Jedrzejczyk that earned her Best Performance of the Night award from UFC.
